Hazelnut Latte v0.16.0.0 Progress Report 3

Hey everyone, and welcome to Progress Report 3 for v0.16.0.0!

Not a whole lot of progress on the next episode, to be completely honest.

Lotus has been hard at work delivering everything we wanted by the end of Episode 1, with the main focus on the Gallery. But there has been a LOT of work to do, as anyone who read the v0.15.5.1 changelog can see.

So there has been no coding progress on Episode 2, but the next hotfix for v0.15.5 is moving along nicely! We hope to get it out this week so we can fully look ahead to Episode 2.

The whole of Episode 2 is looking pretty good! Koth is in the midst of working on a main love interest sprite. We're going to experiment with a new way to animate the sprites. Hopefully this will save us time, be a bit more stylized, and cut down on all the weird glitches.

If you see Sprites glitching out, please record it and report it! Y'all are being too nice; I know stuff is breaking. <3

Kikii is progressing well on backgrounds! We are starting to design a sort of big location that will be a semi-frequent stopping place for players. It will have 3 backgrounds, so we're starting the 3D modeling phase.

The big lewd scene for v0.16.1 is still in progress. It's a complicated scene, and we are doing our best to make it easier to animate. Then we need to start worrying about backgrounds, but thankfully, since the locations are now drawn, we can do the backgrounds we skipped.

I have been a bit out of touch with our backup animator, but hopefully we can make progress on that soon.

We're also going to start ramping up on finalizing the first bit of Episode 2 for the September update.

The end of Episode 1, all the big info, the stream, and some other behind-the-scenes stuff I can't share have made this month a bit brutal. But we are still going to push ever onwards! We will let you all know if we think we need more time.
