What’s a trope, across romance and erotica more generally. you wish would just retire already? What grinds your gears?

Enemies to lovers… dude we get it, they hated each other and now they’re making out in the rain, move on.

Friends to lovers where they’ve been “just friends” for 400 pages and suddenly boom - tension?

Or arranged marriage where the two people who clearly don’t want it somehow end up soulmates in 2.5 chapters.
