Post-Requesthon Post

This endurance event of offering low-price sketches and drawing them live was finished yesterday! We made a toast with some of the GOAT followers/viewers who stayed up late and saw me finish the last sketch, Daisyfan's OC using Inverse Mirror Powerup. It was a pretty nice piece to close the last stream, I must say.

My idea with this "Requesthon" thing was to raise money so I can work non-stop on Plumber+Princess afterwards, and this first time was more of a test run where I learned many things:

Streaming on Discord is pretty chill

Streaming on Picarto is pretty chill

Patreon shop is not optimal to sell commissions

vgen.co is optimal for commissions (actually great site!)

Chrome crashes too much, use Brave

Picking music for stream takes longer than expected

Having an audience while drawing helps with focusing

Talking while drawing doesn't help with focusing

Prices might have been too low at first (sorry!)

A couple other small things, but those are the ones I can think of now. Best finding was vgen, great art site for which I just received an invite code the day before starting the stream, so the timing was excellent as I had to quickly switch to them instead of Patreon for the sketch sales, as Patreon was less equipped to deal with some specific commission details, and also was slow to update the information on my end. Vgen though, best new site I've used in ages, so well thought out and worked perfectly, so very recommended!

My favorite was an unnamed Monster girl with not much description or instructions, turned out to be the most wholesome of the bunch!

All things said, Streaming the work has its ups and downs as everything does, but I'll probably do it again now that I'm more used to it. Not sure when, as for now I'll take a small rest and maybe draw something random and/or start writing P+P4.
