Exclusive dev update of No escape: Game edition! (330)

Good evening folks, Scriptor here with the latest dev news bulletino!

Apologies in advance, but I’ll be keeping this dev update a bit short: I’ve been having a nasty cold since last Monday which has left me quite lethargic/fatigued in the past two days. Though I’m (fortunately) already rebounding/recovering from it. That said my energy is still a bit in short supply; hence the slightly shorter dev update. I hope yea folks can forgive me! 😷😫

Game development

I’ve just finished up implementing the “max interest” bad end into the upcoming build: As I said above I’ve been battling a small cold since last Monday, though this luckily hasn’t prevented me from working completely on no escape. As such I’m pleased to report that I’ve finished up implementing the “max anger” fail-state and also the writing/implementation of the “max interest” fail-state. Meaning that both bad ends are completely in the game now. 💯

Which means that next up is the introduction and first area of Ais’ playground: Those being the introductory parts (Those being Aislinne whisking Kathleen away to her domain, putting her in a skin-tight suit and explaining all the rules/mechanics before sending her on her merry way). And the first area of Ais’ playground: The maze area! Quite stoked to get started on the implementation of that one since there’s quite a lot of fun game-play mechanics going on there. Which might make the area the most “game-y” the game’s ever been. 👀

Plan for the latter part of this week is working on the above stuff: With the goal being to get the entire “introduction” event fully implemented, together with a good chunk of the maze area. Oh and also recovering completely from that annoying cold; that’s on the goal list as well. 😏😇
