Slippery Slope - a Feeder Simulator short story...

Slippery Slope

“So close!” She thought…

Maybe it was time to invest in a little step stool. The top shelf of the kitchen cupboard was never super easy to reach. But these days it seemed harder for some reason.

Renae hadn’t shrunk. In fact if we’re accounting for all dimensions, quite the opposite! But growing outwards shouldn’t make you vertically challenged, right?

She subconsciously shuffled the bottom of her gut onto the surface of the cold counter, giving her the extra few inches of reach she needed. “Got it.”

She didn’t even think about doing it anymore. The need to move her tummy out of the way in order to simply get closer to things. This wasn’t exactly her first week being fat anymore. Gaining weight is a gradual process after all, and habits like this tend to sneak up on you a bit.

As it turned out, belly on the counter was a VERY handy habit to have. The 10 inches of wooden countertop that it smothered was almost 10 inches gained in reach, and it sure did take some weight off of her back too.

She went to sit down with her newly acquired box of “low calorie” cookies. Low calorie of course being relevant when consumed in the recommended serving size of 2 cookies. This box of 25 would last Renae all but 3 days…

She settled into her usual corner of the sofa with a drawn out moan, absent-mindedly lifting the underside of her belly so it rested comfortably across her lap instead of bunching awkwardly against her thighs. Another habit she'd picked up without ever consciously deciding to.

Her gut swallowed her lap now. Like, all of it. That’s the thing with being fat AND vertically challenged. There’s just less base real estate for all that extra weight to live.

Honestly, if you think about it, it's hard to imagine someone is capable of packing such an obscene amount of lard onto their stomach completely unintentionally. Every ounce hanging from her was the direct result of something unnecessary being shovelled into her mouth.

Her phone buzzed. Another PlumperTube notification…

“She’s perfect for this, and she doesn’t even know it. The little habits she’s developed are SO hot.”

Renae frowned…“What habits?”

She glanced down at the now half empty cookie box, balancing on her gut as if it were a table.

“Oh, right…”

That wasn’t the only thing that had come with tripling in size of course, a built in lap tray. But it’s not like all of this happens at once. You don’t wake up one morning with over 200lbs of extra padding to work around. It’s a gradual process.

A seat in the shower, an extra bag at the grocery store, the belly on the counter, a new desk chair without arms. It all trickles in, bit by bit, until suddenly you’ve transformed your entire lifestyle around your growing body. Suddenly you’re not the same person you were all those lbs ago.

You’re lazier, greedier-

No! That’s not it!

Just…

More efficient!

Hungrier.

Yea, that sounds better…

That was the internal justification when filling the fridge higher and higher with every shopping trip. That was the kind of thing that would play in her mind when finally caving and installing something that would allow her to sit down for 5 minutes in the shower. Efficiency.

Step by step, her lifestyle had adapted to the most efficient ways to exist in her body. But all that did is pave the way to get even bigger. Each and every time.

It can all be justified somehow. Every little lifestyle change. 1 small habit here, 1 lifestyle purchase there. But remember, at some point you're no longer just accommodating for the extra weight. The weight becomes the whole reason your life works the way it does. She didn’t do any of this 200lbs ago. But now she couldn’t imagine life without it.
