About a Long Hiatus and a Complete Reset

Hello everyone. First, I want to deeply thank all of you who have quietly stayed by my side all this time.
Lately, whenever I look back at my past drawings, a brutal wave of reality hits me hard.
The body shapes are always the same. The compositions are always similar. In the end, it feels like I’ve just been swapping faces and outfits while repeating the same thing. Even when I pour dozens of hours into a single piece, the result is nothing more than “it’s that same style again.” That made me feel ashamed—not only toward myself, but toward all of you.
I don’t want to keep drawing like this anymore.
I don’t want to remain an artist who only draws the same slim, pretty proportions. I want to become someone who can freely draw all kinds of living, breathing bodies— chubby people, muscular people, tall and short, older characters, everyone.
And instead of forcing everything into one high-detail illustration, I want to draw comics with real stories— comics where every panel feels alive and is genuinely fun to read.
But right now, I don’t have the hands, the style, or even the health to do any of that properly.
So I’ve finally made up my mind.
Starting December 2025, for at least 3 months—possibly up to 4— I will put everything down and completely reset myself.
During this time I will:
Draw thousands of different body types to rebuild my eyes and hands from the ground up
Establish a new style suited for comic storytelling, storyboarding, and faster drawing
Above all, properly recover my broken health
During this hiatus:
There will be almost no new finished illustrations or comic pages.
Instead, I’ll share simple body studies, practice sketches, or style tests once or twice a month so you know I’m still here.
If supporting me ever feels like a burden, please feel free to adjust, pause, or cancel your tier anytime. I truly won’t mind at all.
I know very well how irresponsible this probably sounds— suddenly creating such a long gap and essentially throwing away my current style while still receiving your precious support. I know it might feel like I’m just disappearing on you.
But if I kept forcing myself to draw like this, I was terrified that one day I really wouldn’t be able to draw anything at all. And at that point, I truly wouldn’t be able to give you anything.
That’s why I believe that right now, laying everything bare and telling you the honest truth is the least I can do to show my respect and gratitude.
When I come back, I promise to return
with a healthy body,
drawing such varied bodies that no one will ever say “same body type again,”
and with the stories I’ve always wanted to tell in comic form.
I want every new piece to feel so fresh that you’ll think, “Waiting was absolutely worth it.”
I’m truly sorry, truly grateful, and truly sorry again.
My hands are shaking even as I write this, but I’m writing it with the single desire not to let you down.
Please—just a little longer. I will come back, sincerely and for real, as a better version of myself.
I bow deeply.
Wow
