With February upon us, we've reached a full year since the project first entered production (+a week or 2, but who's counting).
I can only thank all of you for sticking through and keeping the project alive.
I hope you enjoyed some of the small loops I posted; I had planned to do a good few more for upload, but there was a fair bit of jank on those segments that made the whole endeavour far too time consuming for this point in time. Even on the loops that you've already seen, I spent far too much time fixating on extremely minor details. Given the scale of the project, I've taken the time this month to step back and put everything in a coherent, ordered state, such that everything is easier to build upon going forward.
That began with sorting though 10tb or so of miscellaneous files/test renders/annotations and notes/etc. From there, I split the full sequence into 20 sequential folders, to break things down for the sake of my continued sanity. I won't bother listing em all, but the titles are indicative of the order of events, so feel free to ask if that happens to intrigue you.
I've more or less finished cleaning and compiling all the work that's been done thus far. Next order of business is creating any shots and concordant poses that are currently absent, and required for proper sequencing. By my count, there are 4 left to address, but I'm sure a couple others will pop up here and there. Once those are complete, I'll effectively have an full animatic from beginning to end. Then, it'll just be a matter of going through and filling in each block of animation and moving onto the next.
I must emphasise, that final step will take an ungodly long time, but I'll do what I can to keep you updated on the progress as it comes.
