Quick statement addressing some concerns!

Hey everyone. I want to address a couple of things that have been stirring up the comments this week, because I think some things need clarifying.

On the MxM audio

I hear you. Some of you had questions and concerns about Wednesday's sneak peek - and the ones of you who raised them thoughtfully, thank you. That's exactly the kind of feedback I want to receive and the kind of community I want us to be.

To be clear: this MM story is an experimental project. It will go out on a bonus slot and will not touch the regular three-audios-a-week schedule. The core of what BKS is - listener-centric M4F audios - is not going anywhere. It's what we've built everything on, it's what our catalogue of 1,000+ audios reflects, and it's not changing. We have done narration, written posts and other formats in the past and the core identity has not changed from those. The plan is to cast actors from outside our VAs for this story.

What is important to me is that the writers and voice actors who've helped build this place get the room to take creative risks when something genuinely excites them. That's part of how we keep making content that surprises rather than just trying to recycle what already worked. Not every experiment will land - but the alternative is playing it safe and I don't think that results in good things either.

We try to achieve a balance of catering deeply to the community (this is why we take the story requests as we do, it's why we do the votes on VA names - as we will do with the guest VA from 'Exactly My Type', it's why we gather all the questions for Q&As and discussion posts) and then also enabling the writers to put their best foot forward and take a leap of faith too to let them explore things they are very passionate about.

I also want to address the responses that went beyond concern into outright bigotry. There were homophobic comments and slurs on that post that have no place here, full stop. Anyone continuing that behaviour will be refunded and blocked - no warnings, no debate. BKS has always been a space built on openness and respect, and that is not negotiable regardless of your feelings about any individual piece of content.

On Mr. Robinson

I know people have noticed his longer absences recently and drawn their own conclusions. I want to be clear with you, there is an ongoing matter between us that we are handling, and we are not in a position to disclose more until it's fully resolved on both sides. What I can tell you is that it is being worked through, and I can't comment more than that right now.

What I won't do is let people fill any space about this with claims they have absolutely no inside knowledge of and use it to stir things up in the comments. If you're doing that - spreading speculation as fact, trying to inflame something you're not privy to - you'll be refunded and blocked. That's not the community we've built here and it's not one I'm going to let anyone drag us towards. It is not helpful for either us or Mr. Robinson.

To everyone else

You've given us some great feedback in the past few days and the vast majority of our fans make this place genuinely amazing to be a part of. It inspires us to get better. Thank you for that. We're not perfect at communicating every moving part, that's something I'm actively working on for sure - but we're always trying - and we genuinely appreciate you being here for it.
