Behind The Scenes - Sneak peek at some upcoming content

Hey,

I mentioned doing more BTS/teasers for upcoming content, so you get to have the first sneak peek of it. Well, here is the first of those sneaky peeks.

I wanted to show three of the most ambitious projects we are tackling at the moment and to give the writers some more of the spotlight again.

Please note, the development of some of these pieces will be intensive and it may be a while before they get released, so don't freak out too much if they aren't here by next week or even next month.

Also please note, the below projects do not mean, we are not focusing on M4F. M4F remains our core focus and will continue to be our core focus for years to come, that is not changing, we're just trying to do some different things as well every once in a while.

UPDATE: Hey I just want to be clear about something, we have a now increasingly huge catalogue of M4F audios, over 1,000+ including sleep aids now. Our core commitment to focusing on M4F audios is not changing, I edited the post to clarify this as well. Snoooza and Ellie's stories here are 1 or 2 pieces of content out of literally over a thousand. Again, I re-iterate, our overarching objective is to keep focusing on 'direct to listener' M4F content, this is not changing with one or two stories that I green lit for these amazing writers, who have done so much work for us, to express themselves creatively and deliver something new and slightly different for people to enjoy. It is not a 180 degree change in anything. We are focusing on M4F content for 99% of what we do. The core identity of BKS is M4F listener-centric content and that will never change.

"In The Deep End"

Okay first up...

We have a spin-off of the 'Sink or Swim' world , with Snoooza writing once again, this time however we're focused on a rivals to lovers MxM slow-burn romance between two of the other athletes on Coach Bailey's swim team. The Pt. 1 is planned to be SFW but we will see how things progress...

Premise: Danny Hayes’ life is slowly falling apart. The water feels like lead, his old leg injury is acting up – and he has spent months trying not to think about Paul Sullivan. 

It’s harder than it sounds. 

Because while Danny has to fight tooth and nail for every inch of progress in the pool, Paul coasts by on raw talent alone. It’s been that way ever since they were kids, but with hurt and anger thrown into the mix, the rift between the former best friends seems larger than ever. And with invitationals looming just around the corner, the last thing Danny needs is more distractions. 

Unfortunately for Danny, Paul has decided he’s done giving him space. 

Paul Sullivan knows he made a mistake. But after six months of silence, awkward run-ins, and watching Danny slip further and further out of reach, he’s had enough. Danny can hate him all he wants. Paul can live with that. What he can’t accept is losing him forever. And if he has to drag Danny back into his life kicking and screaming, so fucking be it.

This will be a first for BKS as our first production with two actors talking to each other directly, recorded from a studio together and we plan to release it in early 2027 with hopes of doing a full 6 part series to properly flesh out the romance and the story and bring something amazing and fresh for the BKS community to devour...demurely, mindfully, respectfully of course. Hoping there are some great behind the scenes and extras too we can bring you from this whilst maintaining everyone's privacy of course.

"Kiss And Tell"

Next up we have an MM4F piece that Ellie is working on, it's mafia, it's err complex, to say the least.

Description: A small lie. Just a tiny little life changing lie. I doubt anyone even noticed! The whole... three families at war thing could be completely unrelated to us.

Arranged marriage to one, fake dating the other, in love with them both- a classic story... now add in mafia families, like OLD mafia families... treaties and agreements that are older than my great grandparents... things got complicated.

We have each other and thats all that matters. All three of us... Just hide for now. It'll all be over soon, then it'll be our decision. Three heirs to their mafia families coming together only makes us stronger. Kiss and Tell was the rule, right?

Ellie mentioned to me:

"The lore here is that this isn't the first time a love triange combined families in this world, They learn that long ago a different love triangle is what created the split that created the current three families, there previous ended in tragedy but this one won't.

I want to really hit on the desperation to be with the one you love even when everyone is keeping you apart. Think of a better Romeo and Juliet where they don't die in the end. Where families are defied and continue to because this means more to them.

They are being watched, they know but it won't stop them. They will make their own life choices.

I want this MM4F to be not just about sharing the listener but sharing each other in every way. If they don't have each other, they don't have anything. It's been that way since they were children and it won't change, no matter what their families do to keep them apart. They are protective of each other, and the loyalty they have to each other is above anything"

"Glass Jaw, Satin Feet"

And finally, also in the works is an ambitious boxer and ballerina romance (adapted from a bksaudio.com request). Complicated with the presence of a controlling and seductive dance partner.

'Dedication. 

The road to success or the highway to hell. 

Sometimes you don't know which path you're walking on until you wake up with bloodied feet or bloodied knuckles.

One man knows every line of your body. The other knows what's behind your eyes. The wrong choice has never felt so right. The right choice has never been so complicated."

This script is actually a great example of persevering with an idea, even when things don't quite work out with it initially...

We tried writing it unsuccessfully last year, through both myself (Rob) and then another writer. Over the course of a couple of months we eventually made the tough decision to shelve it because it just wasn't coming together and we couldn't quite fit the jigsaw pieces together. It wasn't a knock on the writers (myself included), just more a question of the story needing to find it's home and to have the right passionate and creative mind to bring it to life.

Come early 2026 I took some renewed interest in it again, seeing the potential for a really beautiful and cinematic script if we could just match the concept with the right writer. So the hunt was on. Another couple of months go by and we finally were able to match the premise to Sara, who is now in the midst of making the year-long dream come true! For anyone who is a fan of the vibe of classics like 'Beauty and The Beast', but with a more modern updating, flavouring and new dynamics, I think you'll enjoy this one.
