Emm... every poll season gives me a headache. Just as I predicted, I’ve received some comments and DMs. Honestly, I get out of breath and my hands tremble every time a poll season comes around this days.. There were a few incidents, you know, haha = v=a..

Mmm, Let me briefly summarize my Patreon schedule.

The first week is freehand drawing. It is the only blank space on my Patreon schedule and practically the only week where I draw whatever I want. It is also the week I fill in for when I am late for my schedule.

The second week is content about my OC. It consists of proposals, polls, and a roulette round on a quarterly basis, and I draw based on ideas from members. Actually, the reason this content was created is also because of the Character Poll. There were a few times when my OC invaded the character poll and won, and some people didn't like that. However, there were people who wanted to provide specific ideas for my OC, so I separated the OC from the poll and created this content.

The third is the Character Poll I am currently running. It was first introduced to my Patreon in July 2020. As you all know, it works just like a popularity poll. It is true that the structure makes it more advantageous for specific genres and outfits to win votes compared to other characters. So, in order to prevent one character from winning multiple times in a short period of time, characters with a winning record are given a break of 6 months to a maximum of 1 year, and re-entering with the same outfit is prohibited. And in order to preserve character diversity, I also introduced a roulette system on the same day.

So, the content for the fourth week is roulette. To ensure character diversity, I do not allow duplicate characters except for those wearing completely different outfits, and I do not allow other people's OCs due to copyright issues or the level of explicitness in fan art. (This issue has also been causing me a lot of thought regarding Vtubers recently.) In reality, the roulette seems to be working well as I intended, and various characters that failed to win in the Poll have even taken the top spot.

I have organized the schedule like this. Currently, this routine is fixed on my Patreon schedule. If so, a commonality can be seen in the three drawings excluding the first week. First, I draw by incorporating the idea of ​​the member who requested the character.

And second, yes, there are inevitably options that are absolutely 'not chosen.' I can only draw the single character selected from each piece of content, and that remains the case this month, the month after, and the month after. The biggest problem is that my schedule is already at capacity.

Let's assume I create a separate poll for gacha characters. Should I run it separately every month? Then, in which slot of my schedule should I place it? The first week? Or should I run a theme poll exclusively for gacha characters every quarter, replacing the existing poll? If so, what about the people who don't want to see gacha characters? Just like ZZZ right now.

Then, what about permanently banning characters from specific works, just like ZZZ? Conversely, what about the people who want to see ZZZ characters? Just like the people who voted for Promeia right now.

Let's assume I save the second-place character. When should I draw the second-place character? The first week? Or should I draw the second-place character instead of the first-place character every specific quarter? Then, what about the people who voted for first place? Or what if I just make the character people want to see second place?

Let's assume I delete the OC content. That would free up more slots to implement the schedule above. Then, what about the people who want to see the OC content? What if it is content that PlusOut usually fails to come up with? Should I then put my OC back into the poll?

Assuming I implement all of that, mmm... what about me? When do I... draw what I want to draw?

The best way to solve this problem would be for me to literally become a drawing machine. But cursedly, if I were to draw all day according to the current schedule, four pages would be the limit, so that isn't a realistic solution. Hmm, if I were to delete all the variations, I think I could draw up to six.

Ultimately, I cannot satisfy everyone, and there will inevitably be options that go unchosen. Perhaps that is why an AI with my style was created, and why people became enthusiastic about it.

I have pondered this problem for a long time, but I ultimately failed to come up with a solution that could satisfy many people. Well, actually, I did come up with a few. However, that would mean breaking the fixed schedule I have promised to provide to you all and have consistently delivered until now.

I think the suggestion made by member Yurinov—to take a few months off from the character genre—is worth considering as a somewhat realistic alternative. However, various thoughts hold me back when it comes to setting a deadline. After all, it has been six months since the ZZZ characters made it to the final vote.

I originally intended to write this as a comment, but as I was writing, it got too long, so I decided to just make a post. That is the situation for now. I haven't been able to come up with an alternative yet. I just feel a bit exhausted these days. I wish I were a little more capable, and I apologize for having to write this post.
