Exclusive dev update of No escape: Game edition! (337)

Evening peeps, Scriptor here with the latest dev news!

Game development:

No escape: Game edition V0.33.1 has been released for Tier III last Sunday: Reception seems largely positive; with one point of praise being the new mechanics. Which I really appreciate since I loved playing with their code and feel that they (or rather variants of them) also hold fun potential for future areas in the game. ^^

There was (of course) some good feedback as well; mainly about the (excessive) quantity of (fluff) dialogue in between the set pieces/action on the 2D map. I’ll try to tone that down for the next major build/chunk of content! 😅

V0.33.5 plans (quality of life update):

With V0.33.1 out of the door we’re officially done with the fantasy VR-world! Meaning that we’ll be moving onto the next “big” VR-world...right after another quality-of life-update! 👀

Now BEFORE people start sharpening their pitchforks and bring out the breaking wheel, I’m doing this with intention: Since March is going to be a tight(er) month for me (going on a small holiday), V0.34.1 is going to be another big dev cycle (which I need a small mental breather for), and there’s been a pile of quality-of-life things piling up which I need to get out of the way... So all-in-all I’d rather do the quality-of-life build now, than later. 💪

However like with the last quality-of-life update you folks can expect some (joocy) kinky things inside the update as well! Plus the dev cycle will be on the shorter end like with the last quality-of-life update. As such my plans for V0.33.5 (the quality of life update) are:

- Do some (long standing) quality of life things for the game.

- Add in a side-quest for SOPHIA (like with Goddess).

- Add in a fail-state for SOPHIA’s side quest.

- And add in a (small) fail-state for revisiting the convent (after escaping).

- Add in an (important) story scene.

Short list, but then again I do also plan on making this dev cycle a short(er) one. 💪

Oh and there will be a vote going up this Sunday concerning the convent fail-state; be sure not to miss it! ;3

Side project: Best Friends Forever!

On the side-project side of things, I’m almost done with the last images of the second chapter! Progress has been good and I’m wrapping up the final images for this chapter; which I reckon I should be able to do before this week rolls over. After that it’s only writing the new pages, so while I don’t have an official E.T.A. yet: I expect to drop the second chapter somewhere early-to-mid March. 💯
