Today, as promised in the previous announcement, I’ll be presenting a preview of “What Was on My USB That Day”!

Since this preview covers character backstories and inner thoughts that I couldn’t fully explore within the main story’s page count, I think it’ll offer a different kind of enjoyment!

I’m confident that reading this preview before Part 3 will both refresh your memory and greatly enhance your immersion in the story!

So without further ado, let’s begin the preview!

1. Kim Minjun

He is the protagonist of this story.

So far, he has mostly shown such pathetic sides of himself that he hasn’t had much chance to appear appealing,

but surprisingly, he is actually someone with a great deal of overall potential.

He had one exceptional strength—cooking—and if he had stayed on the right path, he was talented enough to make a name for himself in the food industry.

Of course, all those grand ambitions and dreams were shattered when he encountered the disaster known as Byun Jaehyuk.

In any case, this sociable, good-looking young man with clear dreams and a clear vision was ultimately ruined because of his impulsive personality.

For example, after seeing the video of Yoo Sohyeon’s corruption on Byun Jaehyuk’s computer, Kim Minjun couldn’t contain his rage and shock and furiously jerked off,

and the recording of him masturbating ended up in Byun Jaehyuk’s hands, trapping him under the label of “the restaurant owner’s son who jerks off while watching hidden-camera footage of customers” and forcing him into submission.

Without even hearing her out, he blindly condemned her and drove her away.

In any case, these choices piled up and led to the worst possible outcome, and in Part 3—

an even more despairing future awaits him.

2. Oh Seon-a

She is the main heroine of this work.

Since I introduced this series as MTR, she is the person whose loss inflicts the deepest pain on the protagonist.

That is because Oh Seon-a was Kim Minjun’s pride, and she raised her son with extraordinary devotion.

Kim Minjun knows that well, which is why his love and filial devotion toward his mother, Oh Seon-a, are especially strong.

But was she truly the perfect mother Kim Minjun remembers?

Was she really a mother who was always devoted, longed for her late husband, and thought only of her son?

Unfortunately, the Oh Seon-a shown at the beginning of Part 1 is an idealized version preserved in Kim Minjun’s memory.

Of course, she truly did devote herself to her son, worked herself to the bone to raise him without deprivation, and even now observes her husband’s death anniversary to maintain an emotional bond with her son.

From the outside, she truly appears to be an incredible single mother and working mother.

After all, supporting an entire household alone as a woman could never have been easy.

But the reason she works so hard is guilt.

Because in the past, after losing her husband, she once “tried to abandon Kim Minjun.”

Oh Seon-a became pregnant after an accident with the boyfriend she had met in high school and gave birth at a very young age.

She was still too immature to bear complete responsibility for another person’s life.

Eventually, unable to endure the anxiety and despair, she left her son alone at home and ran away.

For an entire week.

During that week, Kim Minjun cared for himself under extreme stress and did nothing but wait for his mother to return.

Fortunately, Oh Seon-a eventually came to her senses and returned home, but Kim Minjun was left with an anxiety that would never disappear for the rest of his life.

Although the memory was almost completely sealed away over time, it shaped him into an impulsive person who reacts with extreme sensitivity to betrayal.

Even now, Kim Minjun is not consciously aware that his mother once tried to abandon him and believes that she has devoted her entire life to him.

For that reason, although Oh Seon-a retained her femininity and received advances from many men, she ultimately never remarried.

When the timing was right, she was hurt after choosing the wrong man, and in her next relationship, the man immediately cut her off the moment he learned she was a married woman with a child.

After that, Kim Minjun reacted so sensitively to her romantic life that she kept watching her son’s mood and eventually gave up on romance altogether, leading to her present situation.

But Byun Jaehyuk is cunning enough to understand these deficiencies in Oh Seon-a all too well.

After all, she had never been able to run wild and do whatever she wanted because she spent her youth raising Kim Minjun, so she still longed for that reckless, youthful abandon.

Oh Seon-a felt an intense attraction toward the wild-horse-like Byun Jaehyuk, who practically reeked of danger,

and most decisively, she became completely captivated by his sexual technique.

In Part 3, she will appear in a demonic form after being thoroughly trained into a lewd woman, so please look forward to it!

3. Yoo Sohyeon

Honestly, I had been waiting for the day when I could finally reveal Yoo Sohyeon’s backstory.

Despite how much I had established for her, I simply never had the chance to show it in the work.

First, her greatest trait—one that has never been revealed until now—is “poverty.”

Despite her glamorous appearance, she grew up in a deeply unhappy home.

Her mother left when she was young and has remained out of contact ever since, while her father is addicted to both gambling and alcohol.

Loan sharks regularly came and went from the house, and violence was part of everyday life.

Growing up in that environment, she could hardly avoid going down the wrong path.

Even so, she had a dream.

“To escape this miserable, filthy life.”

Because she needed a great deal of money to do that, she took every part-time job she could find.

Through an older delinquent she knew, she worked as a server at an illegal gambling den, acted as a rental girlfriend, modeled for online shops, and worked at upscale bars. She did not shy away from illegal work either, scraped together every bit of money she could, and eventually succeeded in becoming independent.

After entering university, she erased all traces of her past and gradually worked toward becoming “the kind of woman she admired.” It was during this time that she met Kim Minjun.

“Does the food suit your taste? It’s a recipe I developed myself.....”

A young man shyly spoke to her at a restaurant she had happened to visit.

Yoo Sohyeon immediately became interested in Kim Minjun.

He looked about the same age as me at a glance, and he developed this delicious recipe himself?

The fact that he took her comment about being sensitive to fragrance so seriously made his warmth easy to feel.

From that point on, Yoo Sohyeon began projecting the shining future she dreamed of onto Kim Minjun.

Kim Minjun had not grown up in the filthy slum where she was born, but in this bright and shining place.

Dreaming of a future with him, she gradually built a relationship with him.

But there was one unexpected intruder in this bright restaurant.

Byun Jaehyuk.

For some reason, he seemed to carry the same rotten stench she remembered from the lower neighborhood.

And just as expected.

The restaurant owner was being blackmailed by him.

She considered telling Minjun... but she did not know how to bring it up,

and she had her own way of dealing with such problems.

The men who had agreed to deal with him recognized him, panicked, and fled the scene.

As a result, Yoo Sohyeon was forced to fulfill the lie she had told to lure Byun Jaehyuk to the motel—that she would take the restaurant owner’s place and deduct one of the promised sessions.

In the end, she became addicted to his insane sexual technique,

leading to the ending of Part 1.

But even after that, Yoo Sohyeon continued to long for Kim Minjun.

Kim Minjun was a dreamlike figure onto whom she projected her ideal future.

Now, after even being filmed by Byun Jaehyuk, she had given up and become dependent on pleasure... but her hope and dream was that someday she would escape him and reunite with Kim Minjun.

Because his suffering was proof that he still had feelings for her.

After that day, the most important thing to Yoo Sohyeon became gaining “Kim Minjun’s acknowledgment.”

Only if Kim Minjun understood why she had surrendered to pleasure could she regain his respect.

So Yoo Sohyeon did everything she could to break Kim Minjun’s mind and make him dependent on pleasure.

She obsessed over him through every twisted method imaginable, forcing masochistic pleasure into him.

And as a result.

Yoo Sohyeon finally received Kim Minjun’s acknowledgment.

He told her that anyone would inevitably fall after experiencing pleasure like that, and that she was not dirty...

4. Byun Jaehyuk

I actually created a great deal of backstory for Byun Jaehyuk as well.

After all, there needed to be some understandable reason why he committed all these bizarre acts.

But when I asked myself whether revealing how he came to live this kind of life would truly improve your experience of the work...

No.

I concluded that there was no real need to reveal it.

The moment a bully-type villain like him is given a detailed backstory, some of his unique erotic appeal may be lost.

Still, to give you just a small hint about this utterly unpredictable man’s way of thinking...

Byun Jaehyuk is someone who constantly throws himself into stimulation and dopamine.

He habitually records customers in secret,

enjoys the risk that he might be discovered,

and ruins other people’s lives without a second thought.

What is even stranger is why he does these things.

He is not trying to make a fortune from the hidden-camera footage,

nor is he simply collecting it as sexual material.

He does it because it is fun.

The other person lives an ordinary life without knowing anything,

while he enjoys the superiority of holding their fatal weakness in his hands.

The thrill of succeeding with a plan while risking discovery.

And the sensation that, whenever he wishes, he can freely disrupt someone’s daily life and relationships.

To Byun Jaehyuk, hidden cameras and blackmail are a kind of game.

Byun Jaehyuk also has one more peculiar habit.

He tests the convictions and relationships people treasure.

“I would never do something like that.”

“No matter what happens, I would never betray my family.”

“I would never submit to someone like him.”

Whenever he finds someone who speaks with that kind of confidence,

Byun Jaehyuk wants to see how far those words remain true.

He offers them money,

seizes their weaknesses,

drives them into situations from which they cannot escape,

and sometimes even gives them pleasure too overwhelming to endure.

Then he watches as they finally break their promises

and betray the person most precious to them.

Every time it happens, Byun Jaehyuk cheers in ecstasy.

Why on earth does he do such psychotic things?

A very small glimpse of his backstory will appear in the latter half of Part 3,

so you will be able to see for yourselves there!

After finishing this preview and reading through it again, I feel as though I ended up filling it almost entirely with dramatic material.

I think that happened naturally because I used this opportunity to reveal settings and character stories that I could not fully explore in the work itself.

That seems to be how it naturally turned out.

However, when creating Part 3, I prioritized erotic excitement above everything else.

So if reading this preview made you worry,

“Is this part going to contain nothing but dramatic story material?”

you can safely put that concern aside.
