The Development Time of Ch06

I try my best to make chapters in 3-4 months. The most recent chapters took 4-6 months, which is not great, but not the worst. Chapter six took about 8-9 months to develop, which is no good. You might be confused if you haven't read all my updates, so I wanted to summarize everything here.

What happened?

I had a move which took about seven months, living with in-laws for a while. Usually, I can work from home, but during this move I instead had to work from a rented office. I was supposed to set up my new space with a family member in May, but they got hospitalized with severe pneumonia, so it's been delayed up until now. With this rented office, there's only so many hours a week I can be on the computer. I did a lot of extra stuff this chapter: remade all the girls completely, hired translators, and spent a month doing Halloween content. Out of these, moving was most time consuming by far.

This delay made me feel deflated and ashamed at times. But something I've realized is that my problem is not a lack motivation or a poor work ethic. I actually think I've become more disciplined and efficient through this. My problem is logistical, and it's coming to an end soon, so long as nothing else goes wrong. Fingers crossed!

What will I do now?

I plan to scope the chapters very carefully forward, and hope that I can get them out at a higher pace once I have my new work space set up, which should be soon. I've hated having to work so slow, and I have nightmares about not being able to finish this game. You have my promise that I am dedicated to finishing it.

I will be releasing chapter six for Dolphin tier tomorrow, as by then it will be two weeks since it was released for the Shark tiers. After that, I will work on getting the translations of chapters 1-5 out. I've already sketched out chapter seven, so work on that will start shortly after.
