The Heavy Sea

The vast ocean that covers a third of Yuggoth’s surface is composed of mostly heavy water, hence the name “The Heavy Sea”. Though not fit for human consumption, the high purity of natural heavy water provides inexpensive material for the cold fusion reactors. This abundance clears the colony’s energy issues almost entirely.

A seaside town built around facilities for extracting heavy water and refining drinking water, the hydroponic farms along the coast are a vital resource for the colony. There are occasional reports of indigenous aquatic life sightings.
