I’m making a game set in the world of Dark Chalice. It’s not exactly a full RPG, more like a light-novel resource-management thing where you and your party try to survive in the world of Dark Chalice.
As the Protagonist, simple Adventurer type-of guy, living in a town, taking odd jobs. Exploring dungeons. Scavenging ruins. Hunting monsters. Trying to make enough gold to afford food. Trying not to starve before the next contract comes through.
You’ll probably spend your last gold wondering whether to buy food, repair your gear, or gamble on an upgrade for you next contract. Sometimes that works out. Sometimes it absolutely does not. Sometimes you discover a whole new story path by making a terrible decision with confidence.
So expect lots of retries, accidentally exploring new story branches, and maybe accidentally turning one of your party members into a demon or something! Which are technically, preventable but that might be a good thing?
(Aiming for tons of replayability yay!)Maybe you get cursed, transformed, or somehow have your gender reverted because you couldn’t stop banging the healer during your dungeon run. And maybe, if you're powerful enough, you'll be able to face the Demon Queen?
I'm still working out the details! (Story still can change, beware!)And due to running a small team of four (or maybe three) with shared incentives, splitting things up and keeping an independent Patreon page is probably easier for everyone🙇
I’ll explain more later. There should be a proper announcement and an alpha at some point in the coming months, assuming nothing catches fire 🥲Also, don’t expect too much, it’s our first game, after all! Content might be limited at the first release, but I’ll keep updating it. Trying to keep your expectations low while still hyping it up!
