Knocking

Another experiment with hanging onto the 'sketch' shading. Not sure how i feel about it, on the one hand the ragged imperfections of the paper texture add some sort of depth to the shading that my usual celshading /airbrushing approach lacks, but at the same time it's a little scruffy.

Every time i draw internals like the one on the right i'm a little unhappy with it. the more stylizezd ones with the very large cells are more fun to look at, so i go for a sort of middle ground. Seldom super pleased with how they come out, though. Maybe next time i'll just go with something more abstract.
