Received some inquires on this "button unresponsive" issue so I added a new entry in the Q&A page. To be honest it is surprising that quite a few VR users never checked their controller button mapping...

Q: Why can't I get past the "Press Trigger to Start" screen in the VR version?

A: Please note that you need to install SteamVR to run the VR build. Check out the button remapping in steamvr to make sure the buttons on your controller work as intended.
