Calendar Teaser & Updates!

Ohh my goodness this one took a minute- 11 1/2 bodies in this one image! I just completed the linework stage and got half of the background done (not shown yet). This is going to be for the HUFF Calendar 2027 edition! 12 different artists collabing to create one big stinky MUSK themed calendar! I chose the month of June (aka Pride month), so I knew I wanted to swing big. It cuts me a little break doing my toony style for such a crowded piece, but only by a small margin 😅

As for how I'm doing as far as my little breakdown/burnout, I'm starting to feel a LOT better. Two days of completely removing myself from the tablet and stopping everything I'm doing gave my brain a chance to roll to a stop and let the engine cool.

Some life lessons take a few rounds to really sink in, and for me it's that I have an obvious threshold of how many projects I can juggle before I blue-screen and basically make myself mentally/physically ill. My eyes are too big for my stomach in many ways, and I need to practice hyper-focus on one project at a time til it's finished. Then I can move on to the next thing in line! I know it may sound obvious, but maybe some of you relate to that feeling of being excited about too many things and it's only after you start to buckle under the weight of the things you've picked up that you realize you should have approached this with more planning and control...

All that being said, I've only got three days before I take off to work in Vegas. I'm going to get you at LEAST another toony art + the next side comic page for boss tiers and above before I leave. Stretch goal is WIP shot of the next main comic page, which I do believe I can do!

Alrighty, thanks again for letting me have my few days to hide and shed my yucky old skin. I'm feeling shiny, clean, and ready to slither back into the sun 🐍☀️
