Emperors! Stand up!

A new work hits the vault today! I betcha didn't think one would arrive so soon.~ As you guys know, the vault is for works either not posted publicly or doodles and some such lying around that I wanted to share. Extra stuff! It's also a time where I can just kinda blog and chat with you guys in a bit of a monolouge explaining my headspace and what was going on around when I drew the piece in question.

September has been a hard and fast, busy month this month and I've been trying to squeeze in every little thing I've been meaning to draw while there's a little over a week left. Initially, before the month even started, 3-4 Nikke playboy bunnies were not on my schedule but I felt the need to draw something for the new event. It felt a little unfair that so many dropped at once. I was thinking "What am I even supposed to do with all of this??" lol I did struggle a lot on not coming up with incredibly obvious ideas and ultimately settled on what I'd thought would be fun--but even then ended up rather dissatisfied. The other editions aren't done. I was still working on Milk before getting to Bay at the time of this post and simply acknowledged there wasn't enough time to finish both and post them online before I needed to draw the next thing, unrelated to Nikke. So for now you see Milk, Bay is a little later and Ade will very likely not be until next month's vault--there's really that much stuff I have to do lol

But Milk was fun. I think I called a spade a spade when I had gone through so much to render the body but was practically staring down the barrel of a gun when I looked at her rifle I needed to render and realized that I burned myself out on the piece. The background was also a little lackadaisical and nothing grounded in a true setting, but I wanted to show off the character more than anything, so the background not being busy was the intent anyway. There's some things missing like the little brooch on her bow and the knuckle dusters in her fluffy wrist cuffs but despite the time sink it was a fun little experience anyway. Nikke next time please don't flood the game with a billion new units and skins at once that make it hard to draw everyone lol Thank you
