The other day, I went to the Osaka Kansai Expo!

If you’ve been following news about Japan, you might already know that we’re currently hosting a world expo here.

The venue was incredibly crowded, and it was really hot!

But there were so many uniquely shaped pavilions lined up, and just looking at those fascinating buildings was so much fun!

Since Japan is prone to earthquakes, there are strict laws requiring buildings to be constructed strong enough to withstand them.

However, Expo pavilions are built with the understanding that they’ll be taken down after about six months.

Because of that, architects have the freedom to design creative, unconventional structures without those usual restrictions. Pretty interesting, isn’t it?

There were pavilions from all sorts of countries—like the U.S., Australia, Singapore, Portugal, Indonesia, Thailand, Brazil, and many more.

I toured so many of them, and every single country’s pavilion was amazing!
