Just want to share my personal favourites in lieu of letting you all think I consume porn 24/7 😘
What I appreacite the most in my peers' works are undemanding humor and escalating action, yet the stories I truly love are all hauntingly sad and strangly meditative. Today's post I dedicate to my eternal #1, the master of and strange and haunting:
MIKE MIGNOLA
and my top 3 short stories of his:
· The Wolves of Saint August
· The Troll Witch
· The Magician and the Snake
The first turned me into a rabid fan. The second hits too close to home. The third reaches the hights of pathos that swells the heart. To avoid any spoilers I just say all three makes me want to cry whenever I read them. Don't know how much I read into these and what it tells about me, but prepare the tissues just in case. And tell me if you needn't use them. ✌️🤧
